1918 C1-C3 were stamps portraying the Curtis Jenny which produced the most recognizable error in postage stamp history which is the upside down Jenny.

1918 is correct, but only one stamp (C3, the 24c value) went on sale that day. The others of similar design were introduced when the postage rates dropped.
