To DONNA O I think the same as you.I don't want to see any more war or innocents dying that's my whole point Israel attacks Lebanon with the backing of America because they are BULLYS and like all Bullys they only attack the weak.Remember it's Israel and America who don't want a Cease-Fire.This crisis should have been dealt with diplomacy not with WAR!!!

Dont be be blinded by power. For those who have been in a battle know that it is not onlly numbers and technology tht count. there are many other factors that history has demonstrated so many times and which has caused those blinded by strength and power to do some pretty stupid things.

Wake up Americans. The country has a hameroge and it does not know it. It will bleed its self. There is no real danger to America. Even if there was, Logic would suggest stengthing defence. For Last decade the US has only been busy increasing its offensive capability becuase it does not see any reall threat. Stop killing humanity.

Wakeup! we are taking the same position that soviets did. they were the bad guys and hated by everyone. Just check the results of any survey taken on any part of the world. Americans lossing their rating. We are the bad guys. soon the whole world will turn against us.

Ask yourself- since the conflict in Vietnam, when has the USA taken on a strong foe?
Short answer -it hasn't!!!

And Israel......?

The Gulf war doesn't count, as so many countries were involved in that and by the time the coalition actually attacked, they were well aware that Iraq was not strong militarily.

All of which is not to denigrate the soldiers on the ground. They did and continue to do their jobs.

Not a job that I could wish for them to do, but that is not the issue.

Not only Iran, but Syria as well.
I'm sure that Israel wouldn't mind taking them both on.
However, what will the rest of the world do?

The united nations is impotent against terrorism.
They are too busy cashing in on oil-for-food programs.

And why not get Saudi Arabia into it too?
They donate billions of dollars to terrorist groups all over the world.

It will be too much to handle for America.
The military,as willing and strong as they are, are not allowed to take care of business in Iraq, because the higher offices in Washington want the war there to take its time. It's good for the economy over here in the U.S.

any war in Iran could inflame the rest of the Arab world. also, the USA cannot get the men and materials to fight another war just yet. once fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan end, then they may have. saying that, Iran are reported to be 2 years from atomic weapons. if any atomic weapon is used in a terrorist attack. Iraq will be glassed. although that will depend on the target and the number of dead.

World War 3 is not an option, especially if you think on the financial front... US aids Israel with most of its military force and with that in mind sparking a potential World War would be foolish for the US.

Wars arent fought for pride, they are fought for gain, financial gain...

:)

The Iraq army was trouted as being very formidable, and America attacked.

Public opinion and war-weariness may make America hesitate.

Then again, wait six months, or a year. We may indeed have attacked.

Perhaps it's because there are still enough people who know that gratuitous violence is not a solution to outnumber those with their heads up their a sses.
