Share misery with me, I loaned a guy some money, thought he was a friend of many years, around $5,000. He went out and bought a near new BMW. He is an ex pro football player, so even trying him with a baseball bat or something is out of the question. But in all seriousness, if I ever find out I am terminal, I might shoot him right in the head to watch him die.

Laugh, but this is all very serious. Here is the best thing to do, I swear on the bible, FORGET the money, it is gone ! Put it completely out of your mind ! Ask around the wrong side of town, find a couple of big, rough dudes, carry guns is good, cocaine habit is good. Pay them $100 or so, each to beat the **** out of this guy. That's the only way he'll learn, be sure they don't kill him, but break some bones and put him in the hospital,
get your thousand dollars out of his ***, and tell the guys to keep telling him they will be back, the whole time they beat the **** out of him. And don't ever do it again ! This is the best advice you will ever get !

Small Claims court. Where I'm from you can also make a person not only payback what they owe (if you win), but also pay for the court filing fee (both parties) and reimbursement for lost wages you will ecru for having to take them to court. Good luck

a good saying is "i am neither a borrower or a lender" lending money is 99% like going in the street and giving it away.
