Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them…what have you got to lose other than the acne!!

1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.

2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.

3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.

4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.

5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.

6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.

7. Try taking salmon oil supplements (found in health food stores and vitamin shops).

*Always drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods and get exercise.

back acne is a hereditary problem caused by hormones. Also, perspiration and tight-fitting clothing are two of the most common culprits, which explains why many physically active people are plagued by back acne. Tight-fitting clothing such as spandex, traps perspiration against the skin, and it then mixes with surface oils. The result is a film that clogs pores and causes blemishes ranging from whiteheads to inflamed papules and pustules.

Back Acne - Treatment
Stubborn back acne often requires oral prescription antibiotics such as tetracycline or minocycline. Acne on the back is much more resistant to treatment than facial acne, so you need to treat it aggressively. Also, skin on the back is tougher, so it can take tougher products. Thus, a prescription Retin A cream or 10 percent benzoyl peroxide wash may be used. As a last resort, accutane is used, though in higher dosages than for facial acne.

acne on the back and shoulders may be the result of an unsuitable soap for your skin type or allergy for perfumed soap.

Try a perfume free soap suitable for delicate skin.

You may wish to take more patience and apply a good scrub followed by a cleanser, toner and moisturiser, like the products used in facials. If you take care of it every week, the results are magnificent.

Watch out what you eat as well. Minimise fatty foods and ice-creams. It will help reduce the skin impurities.

I have the same problem. Usually it can be from not showering enough, not getting enough sun, not washing your hair enough (if you have long hair) or stress. Talk to your doctor about it. Thay are sure to give you some kind of medication for it. Be warned, though. My back and shoulder acne medication was extremely expensive, but it worked like magic.
