Even when you say that you are lounging around doing nothing, you still are doing something - lounging around. Right?

Yes ...because one could be conceived and then die moments later if the woman carrying the newly conceived child dies or by some other happenstance.
Other people might argue that the newly fertilized egg was going through various processes if only briefly, but as far as the question was specifically posed (reflecting on one's own life) the fertilized egg would not had the necessary time to develop thought or move on its own.
If you cannot reflect on doing nothing vs. doing something then you can never say to yourself that you have done either, but as soon as you begin this reflection you have already done something. So everyone capable of even the most basic human processes does at least something.

Less elaborate... maybe you could be born deaf, dumb, blind, mute, paralyzed and in need of life support. By all practical standards you would have done nothing with your life when it ends because the whole time you were alive everything was done for you.

Everyone does something. They eat, drink and sleep. They use energy and water. They take up oxygen. They can be a burden but every doing nothing has it consequences.

Even the dead do something. They decompose and take up space in the cemetary.

No, you have to eat, breathe, sleep and crap don't ya!?

;o)

BUT what is something to someone can indeed be nothing to another! And what is nothing to one, may be something to another!

Nobody (except the dead, and we're not even sure about them) can do nothing.
