One carat is equal to 1/5 of a gram (200 milligrams). Stones are measured to the nearest hundredth of a carat. A hundreth of a carat is also called a point.

More info and a converter in http://www.metric-conversions.org/weight/carats-to-grams.htm

A good advice for every conversion: Google.
If you google "1 carat in grams" you'll get the answer (0.2g) right away. That way you can even say "18 carats in grams" and get the answer (btw, 3.6g).

Good luck.
