It depends on where you are going to stay. I stayed at Point Village resort and the service and staff are really great there. In Negril you can go down to Rick's Cafe and enjoy a beautiful sunset or if you are as adventurous as I you can jump off the cliff into the crystal blue waters!

The night clubs I visited there are Loveboat and The Jungle. They are both happening! Another cool spot is Margaritaville or you can check out one of the many free beach concerts (free most times other times a minimal charge).

In Montego Bay I stayed at the Holiday Inn and they have tons of fun activities all day. They have a free trip for guests to the Margarativille in MoBay. It's nice and fun! You can walk down the 'Hip Strip' in MoBay and shop or just sightsee.

In Trelawny i stayed at FDR Pebbles (a really great resort) and from there you can visit the famous Annie Palmer's house at Rosehall. It has mythical legends and it is a beautiful property.

Dunns River waterfalls is a nice featured attraction and the water is refreshingly cold as you climb the falls. In Ocho Rios you can check out the Dolphin Cove and pay for a swim with the Dolphins. I did and it was worth every dime! The Martha Brae river boasts a wonderful, tranquil rafting experience on a bamboo raft.

In the Trelawny area you can also visit the glistening waters by the 'Luminous Lagoon' where the water glows in the night.

In Kingston area if you are adventurous you can arrange for a guided hike to the peak of the Blue Mountains. You can also go to the old fort in Port Royal where the 'Giddy House' is located (when you walk through you are supposed to be giddy :) because of the slanting of the building. You can also go by the Helshire beach area and dine at one of the many food vendors there (ask for Aunt Mays) the food is great.

Hope this helps. have a great trip!

You are coming to Jamaica at a good time. August 6 is our Independence Day so you will be able to enjoy a little of the custom.

You can visit Ocho Rios, Montego Bay or Negril all of which are good tourist areas. The people here are warm and friendly and guaranteed you'll leave here saying "Irie".

Have fun!

This is utter rubbish about Jamaicans hating white people (lol). OK Go to Negril and the rest of the North coast, nice Sandy Beaches and tons of things to do. Many hotels have tours that you can go on. Check out the availability of these day trips before you go. Dunn's River is a blast. Try the food (it wont hurt). And if you were getting there a few days earlier I would say Negril ATI, but as the other Jcan that answered this question its independence celebrations so there will be a lot of fun activities that might be unique to this trip than would be on a regular time of year. Enjoy my country I surely miss being away,

Jamaicans do not hate caucasians. I have been there and the people were wonderful to me. Stay away from Kingston though as the crime rate is very high there. For a really fun time go to Dunn's River Falls. It's on the north side between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

That person is wrong, Jamaicans do not hate Americans; we bring them money. Go on something called the Plantation Tour. You will get to see where all the locals go, eat some jerk chicken, drink some jamaican coffee and watch a tall skinny black man climb up a 60 ft. palm trees and come down with coconuts in his mouth. This is in Montego Bay. Cool thing, Jellybean!
