Doesn't anybody in the US know Starlight Express??? It's the most successful musical in germany, so why don't they play it here in the US at all???

I've heard of it....I don't think it lasted too long here...actually I'm not even sure if it actually made it past previews ( if that) I just checked...and it actually did make it to Broadway, but it was a flop...didn't even make it to 800 performances... It is still running in Germany though ( what can I say...the Germans like different things)

They did try a run here in the states back in the late 80s. It flopped.

Who wants to see people going around and around on roller skates for three hours?

Apparently the Germans do.

But their taste is always in question. They idolize David Hasselhoff, for crying out loud.

And there's their own homegrown German folk singer, the horror that is:
