7.32 +
1.68 =
______
9.00

..$5.00 +
$10.00 =
_______
$15.00

15.00-
9.00
_______
6.00

Remember, to put the amounts on top of each other and to carry the one. So 2+8= 10, so you put the 0 under the 8, and put a 1 above the 3.

Example:

- 1
7.32 +
1.68
____
.....0

Add 1+3+6, and you get 10 again. Again, put the 0 below the 6, and cary the 1 to over the 7. Add 1+7+1, and you get 9.

Example:

1 1
7.32 +
1.68
--------
9.00

Then, you have a 10 and a 5 dolar bill. 10 +5 is 15.
So, you have to say 15 - 9=...... so you now have to subtract.

Well, just count up now. Say 9 with a closed fist, and put one finger up for every higher number you say. 10 (put a finger up) 11 (put a second finger up) 12 (third finger) keep going- 13, 14, 15.. so you now have 6 fingers up.

Practice this again, with something easier. 6 - 5.

Start with a closed fist, say 5, (dont put a finger up yet) and then count up to 6- when you say 6, THEN you put a finger up. You should finish with one finger up, and the answer is 1.

Good Luck with your math homework sweetie.

You have to be a member of a bank for them to do anything for you. If you are lucky, and you are cute, you might get a bored teller that might do this without you having an account. Just show your ATM or debit card. Note: $100 bills are more at risk for being counterfeit. Merchants hate these. Some will not accept $100. I myself refuse to touch $100 bills.
