Yes, its easier than putting memory into a desktop. In a desktop, you have to open the whole tower, then your big hands has to try and reach into the little area with the slots and its rather annoying.

Just flip the laptop upside down. Get a small cross screwdriver. Unscrew the lid, take it off, then just put the memory in. Its very easy.

Laptops and desktops have a different shape and size RAM. Go to http://4allmemory.com and find out what your maximum RAM upgrade is for your computer and they sell the cheapest memory on that site.

Yes, as long as there's an empty socket for it. If there's no empty socket, you'll need to remove some or all of the existing memory to make room for the new stuff.

Newer laptops usually have an access panel on the bottom that lets you add memory without disassembling the machine. Check your owner's manual for details.

And make sure you get the right memory. There are lots of different kinds, and the wrong stuff won't work.

yes of course, you only need to get sure the new memory is compatible with your laptop. Maybe read the laptop's hardware manual would be a good idea...

depends; are you talking about 'hard drive' memory, or processor memory? hard drive; yes (although modestly hard to do; make sure you de-static yourself before doing anything); for the other memory (measured in ram) then no, this is built into the motherboard and hardwired.
