The state for which a senator represents is of no matter. All senators follow the same set of rules. The senator for North Carolina serves the same term length as the senator for California. That being said, your answer is life. They will hold office untill asked/voted to step down (this is done by the President, and/or by the votes of the other senators). Usually though, senators inevitably step down voluntarally due to age.

your state senatoers have a term of six years electeed too offficess, kep in mind that if anything shoukld happen toothem during there terrms if they dir or are hit bye a grey hond bus, they must fill there jobs with a special runoff elections same ting goes for any crimes comitted ijn officess etc,
