Could you tell me how they are different and if there is a way to change mine without dropping a new unit in. Could I change the cams and followers? would I need a new ECU?

se vtec has the spool valve on both the intake and exhaust cams. other vtecs only have it on the intake cam.

U do not have anse vtec the se is the type of car reffering to the features in ur case a Special Edition the vtec is the engine dont confuse them they are two seperate things

There are two kinds of vtec engine, powerful or economical. you may be getting confused with the vtec e. All accords have the same engine until you get to the 2.2 type r. The cost of changing your engine would be greater than the value of your car.

SE is special edition..referring to the car itself..

the motor is the same..Vtec as all other vtec accords.
