This question is very complex. The world had changed so much, almost beyond understanding so comparing the two is very difficult. So consider what the Israelites had in common with each other. They were a family that had gone to Egypt willingly, to avoid a famine, and had been in Egypt for 400 years. They had a separate and distinct, organized society, culture and religion. They even lived apart from Egyptians in the land of Goshan (approx. northern Egypt) They had maintained their family history and genealogy. They went to Egypt as a respected people but were now being used as slaves and their situation was deteriorating.

African Americans no longer have a separate society, culture or religion. The only thing they really have in common is the hue of their skin and even that varies. Because they arrived as slaves few have any concrete family history or idea where they actually "came from" and their situation in America continues to improve. What would be accomplished by going back to Africa?
Those who returned to Israel had a common goal and objective, one that they maintain today. What would that be for African Americans?

I do not think it is possible to ask white Americans for an unbiased answer. I tried to write an answer and decided I couldn't, because I do not KNOW how black Americans feel, and I will never really know.
You are correct. It happened with Israel, and it can happen with Africa. Fifteen years ago I would not have believed there were many Muslims in the USA. All of my black friends attended AME Churches, or none. The south is still not integrated, and bigots abound.
I would have answered NO to your question, except it made me think more deeply. It seems to me that the USA is becoming more conservative, more exclusive, and if I were a minority I would be frustrated and angry !
I would not want the blacks to leave. Someone (Joseph Smith) once wrote a letter to Abraham Lincoln and suggested that all blacks be shipped back to Africa to prevent a civil war. Lincoln dismissed the idea. But, perhaps someone in the future would NOT dismiss the idea, and perhaps the blacks would prefer Africa. I do not know. I know that your question is legitimate for debate, and I hope you get a good sampling of opinions.
Good Luck in your studies and in your future !

I've got a better question!!!
Will the USA and North America be given back to the Native Indian that shared the land with the other animal that once lived there. When this wondrous event transpires, with the "white-man" returning to his home land, then and only then will is be safe for African to return Home.
The problem is that American of All ethnic and cultural backgrounds are already at HOME in the USA!!!
You asked this question, are you planning on returning to the land of your Ancestors, I know it was not on the Continent of North America!

I don't think so. Considering that African Americans have been in America for hundreds of years. Why would someone who is a 3rd, 4th or 5th generation American want to go back to a continent that is unfamiliar to them.? That's like any American deciding one day to go back to the country of their national heritage.

If, however, you mean recent immigrants who have come over from certain African nations, who are now citizens, deciding to go back one day, then perhaps that is a possibility. Not everyone who comes to America, stays in America forever.

The Hebrews (they were not called Israel then) were directed by God. They had the promise that they would posses the land they were going to (By the way, it is still all their land. God never said it wasn't). The promise existed before they were slaves in Egypt.

But, I believe that if God spoke to the African Americans, and they actually heard, listened, and obeyed, then those who believe would go back. But remember, not all African Americans trust or even acknowledge the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Why should you?
Assuming that this argument is current, why would you want to?
They do not have the same laws as you are accoustomed to here.
They also do not have the same type living as we do here.
Black Americans just like every other American enjoys liberties and freedoms that are not the same any place else on the planet.
Then there is the leaving everything you know and everyone you love as well.

This question is going to bring much controversy. Let me ask a question in reference to your question, ok. What if every person went back to where their people originated from, who then would be left standing in america, "The Land of the Free?" Here is a little food for thought one nationalty was bought here against their will while another nationalty stole their way into america...and continue to steal and deceive every chance they get....check your records ok.
