Just be yourself don't let other people get to you. Would you rather be doing drugs and having sex or.... getting a good education and going some where in life..even geeks have plenty of friends if not more...just be your self...have fun in school and never give up in school and never try yo be popular its not worth your time...alot of the popular people in my school just smoke and drink and have sex its not all that fun..just don't even feel so low about your self just be you and believe me you will get so much farther in life i promise you!! good luck hunnie. I'm only going into the 10th grade i know what all this is like i used to be the biggest nerd on the block then i tried being popular and it got me no where i wish that i would have just stayed a nerd and focused on school but nope now all i do in life is hang out with my boyfriend and just a couple of friends..please just be your self and only your self i promise school will be so much easier you wont have to get in to all the other drama and you will never have anything to worry about except planning a future!! Good luck!!

Just be yourself. Geeks are unique and interesting. Find something to be your claim to fame, such as lots of cool, unusual shoes. Also, learn to play an electric guitar, drums or keyboard and start a hip band. Keep in mind, most 7th graders are fairly geeky. The body does weird things...growing spurts, voice things, etc. This too shall pass. Have fun and have some parties where you include everyone. A cook out is a good sort of party. Social things are fun. If you are a boy, don't let the tall girls intimidate you. You will pass them up one day. Just enjoy dancing with them and the view you will have...hahaha. Everyone has been a 7th grade geek at some time. Do you know who Sarah Jessica Parker is? She was the queen of geeks. She has done nicely for herself. You will too. Just stay happy and make good choices.

There is nothing wrong with being a geek. Many geeks go on to make wonderful contributions in the world. I don't even like the word geek, anyway. Just find some friends with the same interests as you--maybe join a school club-- and jus determine to do your best. If you feel a need to fit in a bit more, kind of ask someone for help on clothes, haircut, glasses, if you wear them.
And just take your time and feel your way in to your place in your class.

By "geek", I'm assuming that you mean you are unpopular. If you are unpopular in American secondary schools, this means you are probably smart. Keep in mind that unpopular smart kids don't seem to have any barriers to becoming rich and envied later in life (think Bill Gates was popular in Junior High?).

Smart kids are unpopular most likely because they care less about being popular than dumb kids. It's not that you wouldn't like to be popular (trust me, I know), it's just that the gargantuan amount of effort required to be popular in school is simply not worth it to you. You're smart enough to rationally consider the options - and spending every waking moment of your life trying to please dumb people just seems, well, dumb. Time could be better spent coding IRC bots, designing custom levels in Quake, hacking your neighbor's roomba, or whatever smart kids are doing these days. You see, being smart is just too darn interesting to waste all of your time trying to be popular, and unless you aspire to sell used cars for a living, I recommend you not bother.

My advice: spend your time being smart. Find other smart people. Cultivate your own sense of curiosity. Understand the world is not as cruel and boring as it probably appears from inside the walls of your school.

I agree with being yourself. Middle School was rough for almost everybody. Ignore the nasty people and remember that Microsoft, AOL and a great many other companies were founded by "geeks".

*sigh* I thought geeks were hot in high school (wish I had been brave enough to say so). Well, just be yourself. It's gonna be hard, but learning to be a healthy and mature person that can contribute to work or personal situations it important. And Jr. High and High school is one of the places we learn to deal with adversity.

i've got been interior the path of the comparable ingredient final year, and that i will inform you all you would be attentive to. good now, i'm a prep in a large city full of personalities. In my college, there is each and every stereotype which you may think of. There are the normals, the goths, the emos (no longer the comparable because of the fact the goths), the preps, the outcasts, and such multiple others. instructors are so lots extra relaxing in middle college. even with the undeniable fact that, I warn you that there is so lots extra homework in middle college. So in case you have an interest in turning out to be a member of management, do it in 8th grade. here is yet another ingredient. dress extra proper than maximum folk. this is harsh even with the undeniable fact that this is authentic. human beings will choose who you're via what you place on. And have confidence me, pupils are actually not afraid to make comments on the type you look. do on no account positioned on a pretend character. I promise human beings will such as you to your guy or woman character. case in point, maximum folk say i glance like a prep, yet I cling out extra with the "loopy" human beings. I in specific situations confer with different preps, yet my heart belongs with the psychos. and finally, don't be a "you be attentive to what". maximum folk like that for the period of my college are truthfully conquer via intelligence. And here is how I see it. If most of the human beings in my college worship human beings like that, it merely proves that most of the human beings in my college are ignorant. so as that they choose a rather clever individual to help them think of for themselves instead of following what a dumb chief tells them to.

you might be a geek in your eyes but, if youre a genuinely nice person and you have great qualities, people are going to want to chill with you. just find other people with your social status. i just graduated from grade seven. everyone had friends. its all good. if you come across as confident, people are gonna be your friend. trust me on this one.
