I'm going to audition next month to be a dancer at one of the WDW theme parks and I was wondering what I should expect when I go. I have 14 years of dance experience and 9 years of musical theater experience. What are the chances of getting in? When will I find out if they want me for a show? What kind of help do they give for people who don't live in Florida?
Thanks for your help.

It's very hard to get in as a dancer & a character. You need to keep a smile on your face at all times & make sure you do what they ask. If I remember correctly (IF they still do it this way) they will have a dancer come out, show you a dance rountine & then you have to do it. they normally have you in groups & one or two are picked from each group to go on to the next & so forth.

As far as help for not living in Florida. They will only help you if you are going through their college program (they come to your school, talk to you & then you can sign up). Otherwise Disney won't help you with moving, etc.

Good Luck. It's a great place to work even though the pay could be a hell of alot better, especially since they are a mega million dollar company.

I have never worked for them, so I don't know what they look for during auditions.

However, as a frequent Disney guest, I would say, just keep a smile on your face and look like you are having a great time! Be friendly, too.

By the way, lots of luck! I will be there in September, so I will look for you! lol
