I find it interesting that many people just assumed that you were a large woman. Maybe you are, maybe you aren't...however the number of ignorant responses is ridiculous.

This thin is beautiful craze is relatively new. I would like to point out that 50 years ago larger women were considered more attractive in US culture. I don't believe it is based on where you are, but more on what going on in that society at that time.

We can also look at the sculptures from ancient Roman and other European countries. Even classical master centuries ago created paintings of their beauties, who by today's standards are definitely plus sized. Many of the women were very curvy and you never see a flat stomach.

It is all in the person. I think that the majority of people feel that what is on the inside is the most important. Don't just look for certain societies, when the right person comes along, he'll love you for who you are, not what you look like, because of the love he'll have for you, he'll think you are gorgeous no matter how large you are.

I'm a plus sized woman, and I've been married for almost 4 years (together for 6) and I'm told I'm beautiful every day! And I feel beautiful because of this. I know that I do need to lose weight because of health reasons.

And you really shouldn't pay much attention to the men on here who have replied. They're just trying to get points.

Why does it matter what society thinks about an individual? You have to be comfortable in your own skin, if you are not then change for that reason only, not because society says you have to look a certain way. Society can surely give you a helping hand in living a life of hell but are they as ready to give you a helping hand in living a heavenly life? Always be true to self my friend. When all is said and done it will not matter what society thought of you!

As you can see from the earlier posts, it is obvious that American society does not find larger women attractive. What is the deal with the obsession with stick-thin women? I think people (male or female) look so much better when they look like they actually eat. Seeing someones bones and ribs is just gross.

Philippians, Larger women are known to have more wealth. The larger you are the more money you have. They can afford a nicer lifestyle. Larger women are not gross they just live a different life style then other people.

All poor nations find that larger men and women have the means to eat well and are thus attractive.

I'm Mexican and not a skinny-minny, and find that Latino men aren't offened by a woman having some meat on her bones.

Now, I'm not saying that Latino men prefer large women OVER skinny women, but, I do find that they find me EQUALLY attractive based on other feminine qualities...like, smile, eyes, sexy clothes, good grooming, etc.
