Panacea: That is the most arrogant, nationalistic comment I have ever read on this board, and that says more than you can possibly imagine.

To answer the question, in ten years I suspect Iraq will have become a religious fundamentalist state not too different from Iran. Iraq was largely secular under Hussein, despite his obvious shortcomings, and the constitution up for grabs now is an Islam-based recipe for ongoing turmoil. The United States isn't solving or defending anything, except perhaps the U.S. Government's own power.

You know how Japan was once a country filled to the brim with hateful, genocidal maniacs bent on global domination? Now, it is filled with decent, normal folk who care deeply about others and their responsibility to the global community. That's the sort of change we will see.

My grandfather served in World War II and is still alive (pushing 90, God bless his soul). He remembers what the Japanese were like and comments on how rapid and dramatic the changes have been. He knows what is responsible......interention by the US and the rest of the international community to help troubled people step out of the darkness and into the light.

Doesn't Iraq deserve the same chance?

BUSH is the best guy to have the best vision for IRAQ, he would make things beautiful and better in IRAQ.

Wait for some more years and you would see oil companies flourishing in U.S.
