It would be a sign that your boyfriend is INSANE. Run, run for the hills.
Zoloft is a prescription anti depressant. It should only be used while under a doctors care to treat depression.
The idea that he would want you to take it to decrease your sex drive is insulting (if he doesn't want to have sex with you or compromise how often he has no business dating you).
The idea that he would want you to take unprescribed medications that might have deadly side effects because you're not using them for what they were designed to do is sick, horrifying, and f*cked up. It shows that he has no basic common sense, no respect for you, and might need some industrial strength therapy. I second the call to DTMFA.

Don't let anyone tell you to take anything that may have some effect on your body. Everyone is different and it might be something that would have a bad effect on you just because he can not deal with your sexual drive. If it starts affecting you in a bad way, you will be the one who has to deal with it, not him. One year is not a very long time, so you are not missing anything. Find someone who will accept you just the way you are and appreciate everything about you and not ask you to put yourself at a possible risk of getting hurt by taking something that may or may not affect your body. Later all he would be able to say is sorry and sorry can not fix the problem.

Don't ever take any unprescribed drugs, especially when you are a healthy normal guy.
If you have a high sex drive and your partner doesn't, maybe he should take something to increase his sex drive.
The fact that you to seem to have a difference in sex drive is no cause to seperate. It is cause for you two to have a good sit down talk and come up with a better solution, maybe even see a counsor.

He wants you to take a drug meant for depression, when you have no emotional problems? It sounds like he does not want to have sex with you, which means he is using you for other reasons. As Dan Savage would say: DTMFA! (Dump The Mother F*cker Already)

If he wants you to take medications prescribed for treating mental illness just because he thinks you want sex too often then I think you need to find yourself another boyfriend.

If you are not depressed why on earth should you be taking this sort of medication?
Get a grip! Preferably on a new guy's tool.

Maybe you want too much sex, that isn't the base of a relationship.
Settle the hell down.
