I want to be able to go where I want on the computer and not have everyone in my house knowing where I've been.My husband is good on the computer .. I am not ... when I look up something ..then go back later to type something in the seach bar say the "R" then everything starting with the letter "R" that has been typed in drops down so anyone can see what I or anyone else have been searching for.I need to know how to erase that. Thanks SO MUCH!!!

open your browser
click tool
internet options
then in that window near the bottom click clear history
then where it says days to keep in history make that say 0
also go to the content tab
and youll see something that says auto complete click that
then youll see- use auto complete for
uncheck the boxes that apply to your needs then hit ok
that should do it

U can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.
To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.
U can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history.
It will solve ur all search related problems.

Incase you are using yahoo toolbar, then near the 'Y!' icon you will find a pencil icon click on it & select 'clear search history'. All visited site index will get cleared.
If you are using yahoo search from webpage. Then in the main menu click on 'tools' > 'internet options' > contents > under 'personal information' heading click on 'auto-complete' button & do the required settings > do remember to click on OK on all the open windows

it doesn't help only to clear the history. go to Tools / Internet Options / Content / Autocomplete / click on clear forms and clear passwords and uncheck the boxes Web addresses, Forms, User names and passwords.

on the toolbar select" tools" "internet options",double click clear history.
then delete files and then delete cookies.
should work.

If you want to do it easier , use Window Washer from www.webroot.com, it also delete cookies and any traces of internet usage.
