I think the best thing is a french manicure. But if you don't want to have a french manicure all summer here is what I do:
I paint my nails with french manicure polish. Then I take a thin acrylic overlay to protect it. Then if you choose to wear a different color that matches your outfit all you have to do is apply two coats over the french manicure to change the color.
Then if you want to go back to the french manicure all you have to do is use NON-ACETONE nail polish to take of the polish and then you will have your french manicure back.
This is so convenient because french manicure goes with anything and if you don't have time to polish your nails you can still have a great look for summer.

pink. I have this one nail polish that I have worn for two years I was so scared they were going to dicontunue making it I went to the store and bought two more bottles so it would last me a long time. Pink is deff a flattering color in the summer for toes and nail, exspecialy if your tan or got dark skin!

Think Pink! Pink is so in right now! Every single shade, whether its light, hot or dark, it's great! I try to change my toe color every week in the summer, and try to match with whatever color I wear most! A nice orange or yellow! Have Fun!

I like red nail polish. Find a shade that goes with your skin tone. This looks great with a nice pair of sandels and a pop of color on the toes. Try it with a sparkly overcoat!!!

sheer pink and learn to free-hand a white french manicure tip. I used to have fake nails which totally wrecked my own nails because I loved the French Manicure look, but it got way to expensive. I learned to do it my self, and for summer it looks great and goes with everything. Good luck.
oh, and forget the guides they sell. They don't work - just do it by hand.

i use a invisble color with sparkles from sally hanson called fairy ivory it's looks pretty coz it's lokks natuarl and it has the sparkle so it lokks really beautiful but for summer the color is pink land all shades of pink lolgood luck and tru sally hanson they have goodnail polish

hmm i'd say go with the bright colors for sure! none of that black or red or w/e dark colors..and no neon either..just kinda in between

i think it depends what your skin tone is, but if u have deep skin like mine yellow looks really cool. use bright colors, like hot pink, orange, baby blue...or, use lighter more metallicky colors like pale pink and purple.
