Amen Julia!!! Bring it to them. They are talking crazy. What is the world coming to when you have people comparing straight (normal) people to the likes of a menacing, group who practices violence and hatred. Homosexuality is an abomination which goes against both the laws of God and nature. Gays are always quick to play the role of the helpless victim with their constant claims of discrimination, when in all actuality they are the ones doing the discriminating. They want to walk over every man, woman and child with ethics and morals who arent' going to tolerate their crap. This is the Caveman signing out and laying down his club. I got your back Julia! Peace and God bless!!! Oooh Yeaahhhh!!!!!

Well ask youself this, it is ok to have BET, Black History month, and other displays of African American Pride right? If a black person walked into a place wearing a shirt that said Black American and Proud, would we be offended. Prolly not. But if down the hall he ran into a guy wearing a shirt that said White American and Proud, would that be considerred racist? Probably so. Why is that?
Simple, because white was always the oppressing majority. Black Americans had to fight for their freedom and rights and our displaying things that show PRIDE to be a part of a group that has been Shamed by the oppressing group for so long. Same thing with Gay vs Straight...straights are the majority. Gays have been oppressed and made to feel they should be ashamed of who they are. We're finally reaching a place in society where that does not hold true anymore. Even people who don't agree with homosexuality are not ALL out picketing with signs full of insults, hate, or biblical quotes. Just like all whites are not racist, but some are.
I would not be offended to see a person wearing a straight pride shirt, but I would question WHY the person felt the need to display pride over something that has never been made to seem shameful. The reasoning behind wearing the shirt is what would be considerred offensive. I don't wear a gay pride emlem to make straights seem or feel degraded or insulted. See the difference?

Wow, you really like instigating don't you? Being straight is NOT equivalent to being in the KKK.. You intepreted the answer all wrong. He/She was just saying that weaering a "Straight Pride" shirt is discriminating. Why? Because it's mocking.. "____ pride" is for the oppressed groups that are usually fighting for something. Rights, marriage, whatever. You obviously have a opinion already made up about gay people, so I'm not even going to start. Whatever, if you want to generalize, and hate.. There's nothing I can really do about it.
I read your other question about the asian girl getting hated on by the gays.. Yeah, not all gays do that, and that seems like a very rare case. But I do understand where you are coming from because even if it's one case, it's something you've personally seen and experienced. People make decisions and judge on what they see.. and I don't blame that. However, I don't think you should be on here hating on everyone else for what that one gay person did.
I'm not going to act hostile because I'm a passive person. Yes, there are some gays that are abit more aggressive.. But then again there are straights that are aggressive too.
Chill, no one is telling you being straight is being equivalent to the KKK. I respect straight people just as much as gay people. I just simply cannot give respect to the ones that discriminate and hate. Fair enough? I'm sure you do the same.

I have personally never experienced any of the things you're describing, and when things do start to get near personal attacks, I'm usually the one trying to diffuse that. So, please, let's stop talking in terms of "they" like we're all the same person.
There is some controversy over the straight pride thing, and I understand why. It's the same way that if someone expresses "white pride" (as opposed to Italian pride, or British pride, or Irish pride, which curiously is more acceptable) there will be a lot of nervous non-white people figuring that it is a "we're better than you" statement. (see what I did there? "a lot of" instead of "Black people would get pissed off") What gay pride, and indeed Black pride etc is all about is the fact that we're as good as anyone else. Because white, hetero, males ARE the standard, they don't really NEED any pride events or anything the same way minorities do. That doesn't mean that the words, themselves, are bad or should be banned in schools or anything, but I do feel that the ideas behind them are different.

I thought I have explained to you over and over that you need not ask an ignorant, biased question in which you have already formed a firm opinion on. You already don't care about the answers you get and based on the "best answers" you have chosen, all you are doing is looking for someone on Yahoo! Answers to agree with your closed-minded, bigot opinions. Since you can never ask an actual question and you are using Yahoo! Answers as a web site in which to attempt to force your ignorant opinions on others, I am going to report you. But...before I do that, I'll humor you and answer your moronic question so that maybe you will receive a bit of intelligence (which I highly doubt).
Let me start by asking you how you would feel if you came into your workplace (assuming you have one) and someone was wearing a "White Pride" T-shirt? That's supposedly considered racists but your people can be "Black Panthers" and have "Black Pride" and it's not. If you want to talk about double standards, that's the oldest one in the book and it works the same way with Homosexuals and Heterosexuals. There is nothing wrong with being proud of what you are and Homosexuals are not the only group who doesn't understand that point. Black are notorious for this double standard I mentioned. They can call whites "crackers" and other deterogatory names and we are expeceted to show respect for that. I think not. Why don't you look at your own race before you criticize another group. Try working on "enlightening" your people before you attack others.

If your "racil slurs" comment is aimed towards my comment on a privious answer, First I apoligize, It wasn't my intention to offend you, I was trying to show you that the Bible that you have used to condem us, was used in the same way to condem some of your ancestors. Again I apoligize if it came off as a "racist slur"
As for your "Straight Pride" shirt, I say go for it. I am a firm beliver in Free Speech, even if I don't agree with the message. Just don't complain if I wear a "Gay Pride" shirt.

Hate is not an exclusive to your community or to ours. We are all human and all subject to the same temptations to be rude or hateful.
I liken it to having youre foot stomped by three big guys repetedly then you go out in the public and if anyone even slightly touches your foot you screem and react as though you have been murdered.
I think it is the same thing.

We certainly give respect and tolerance to people who deserve it by their thoughts, words and actions.
When your questions show you to be a hate-filled, bigoted homophobe, I guess some people feel that karma dictates that you get the same kind of vile discrimination in return.
Note that some of us do not take your bait, and still respond politely to your most warped questions.
