It would be nice if it was inexpensive and easy, as well. Any chance?

Learn to read music.

Practice your favorite songs over & over.

Try your highschool or middle school music teachers. They may be willing to teach you at or after school for a smaller fee.

Nothing comes easy especially learning a musical instrument and I would suggest you get yourself a music teacher to help you with the basic of learning how to play the piano; and to help you learn how to read music. Oh yes unless you are a gifted musician be prepared to practise a lot because learning to play the piano is something you don't do over night.

There's lots of software out there that teach piano right on your computer. You'll need an electronic piano also. It may be a little expensive at first to buy it, but then you shouldn't have to spend any more. Once you learn to play you'll want to buy songbooks, but they don't cost very much. Search Amazon for "piano" in the software category. Lots of results.

First, you need a piano or one of those electronic keyboards.

Then, you need a primer. Start with
John Thompson's Modern Course - First Grade Book
and
Teaching Little Fingers to Play
Get both books. Work your way through them.

get some beginning books. there are plenty of good adult books as well. you will need practice books and exercise books. i use "a dozen a day" with my students. don't pretend that you are better than you really are either. get books that teach to your level. and practice practice practice. at least 15 minutes a day.
