Whe I was at school we got the belt if we misbehaved. I thought I would try to find one to give as a leaving present for one of my colleagues who is going into teacher training. Honestly, theres nowt sick about it!!

I would think a "paddle" would be more what you were looking for. When I was in school, we got the paddle if we misbehaved. I haven't seen one around for many years. You used to find them at "gift" shops as gag gifts for souveniors. We even had tham when I started teaching more than 25 years ago. Wow. That seems like forever.

Ever time some really misbehaved at school, one of the teachers would throw one of her wooden clogs at you - yes the footwear - some days her aim was better than others.
