Because of the resistance to teaching good sex education in schools, one that includes how NOT to great pregnant. The default teaching seems to be abstinence, which is of course ridiculous.

Probably because 90% of the time it's girls under the age of 17 or 16 years old that are still kids and still to young to even understand the possibility of being pregnant, they are still kids themselves and wouldn't know about being pregnant because they don't have anyone to ask, it's not like they can just go up and ask their parents about it, because they know they're parents would flip out on them, so they resort to the knowledgeable "Yahoo! Answer" people before they break down and get a pregnancy test or tell their parents!

Because the majority are young teens who have no clue and some are just young women who never took the time to educate themselves. If we did not have the net these women would be so lost.

I have been pregnant 4 times and never been online asking common sense questions. Some do not even know when they should head over to the hospital.

They are relying too much on the net for their issues.

1. Too cheap to buy a test
2. Too lazy to call the doctor or make an appointment
3. too lazy/stupid to look up "online pregnancy test" on google, and get websites that women can answer questions, to see if they might be pregnant or not.
4. too lazy/stupid to check other completed yahoo questions, who all have the same answer.

I know, I know - I can be a rude person. But really, just sick of all the same questions over and over!

I also don't answer the ones "what should I name my baby - I don't want to ask my family/friends, I want to ask complete strangers what's the dumbest name they can think of..."

Ok thanks for letting me vent!! Now, I'm on to people who really need some help!!

well to be fair this is yahoo answers and this is the pregnancy catagory. Still I think i copy and paste "take a pregnancy test" more than actually answering a real question. I think most of these girls are really young and really dumb. Most of them haven't even had sex and don't really think they are pregnant. They are just bored its summer when school gets back in a lot of these questions will go away.

They are probably young teenagers having unprotected sex and freaking out after wards. I think any woman who thinks she is pregnant would have enough common sense to buy a pregnancy test. Meanwhile teenagers are more embarrassed or afraid their parents will find out and they are more likely to ask questions about symptoms of pregnancy.

You would be surprised at how little a woman actually knows about her body and her cycle. Most if the information they get is only partial information or they are misinformed because whoever told them about the facts of life was too embarrassed or uneducated to tell them correctly. Ignorance is what gets them in these situations....

Becuase all of them are idiots and don't know how to use birth control. We don't need any more kids in this world, there's too many already.

I think that it shows we really need more education about pregnancy and sex in school.
