Well, you do have 2 nostrils.... ;-)

Anyway, with 2 ears you can hear in stereo. With 2 eyes, you get depth perception and a wider field of view. All these would aid in evading predators and hunting prey because you have better orientation in the environment and are better able to discriminate objects and sounds. The sense of smell (and taste for that matter) doesn't work the same way....

Plus if one organ gets damaged, you still have a working one. It would be much harder to survive w/o vision or hearing than w/o smell or taste. You'd be at a disadvantage not being able to smell dangerous animals or rotting food or taste a bitter poison, but you'd live much longer than w/o vision or hearing.

Which is all to say that it's the result of physics and evolutionary biology working together.

Because it's better to listen then to talk. And the two eyes, you can see better with two eyes, if they work together. I know, I have two eyes, but they don't work together, I use one eye, and then I switch to the other eye. I use them both, but not at the same time. Because of that, it's harder for me to judge distances, and there has been quiet a few times, while I was driving, I thought there was going to be an accident up ahead of me, because I thought the vehicle was pulling right in front of the other. It is very unhandy, let me tell you, but I make it though! :D

we only have 2 eyes so we can get a better perspective and two ears so we can hear things on either sides of us

there would be no point in having another mouth, because we only need one to eat

So we wouldn't talk "two" much. We have two noses... two holes in our nose. We need to see, smell, feel and smell extremely well. What we don't need is talk twice as much.

The Lord knew wat he was doing.
