That's a tough question .... but the truth is ... it could be any of them. According to the Creation hypothesis, it should be the chicken, but according to the Evolution hypothesis, the chicken had an ancestor that wasn't called 'chicken' and that ancestor could put an egg and from it could raise a chicken ... so ? is up to you
