I'm going to Lollapalooza on the 4th, and taking the train into town. I won't have time to drop my bags off at our hotel (it's on the north side, friends from Minnesota booked it because it was convenient for them), so I need a place downtown that can store my bags until about 10:30 or 11:00 when the concert ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why won't you have time? If you're staying on the north side, you can take the train downtown in about 45 minutes. Is there an act you MUST see?

but bag storage in the post 9/11 era? Good luck with that...

The Amtrak station has Large lockers that you can put suitcases or duffel bags in. They are coin operated. You can check the Amtrak website for prices.
