People keep claiming that whe nisrael was created, the palistinians were forcibly removed from thier homes.

This is NOT true, if this weretrue there would be NO palistinians in israel, yet many live there.

so, please post proof that the israelis evicted the palistinians, and proof does NOT include some palistinian or other muslim webpage which is bias.

If this is true you should have no problem finding it, so please share with us the link to a credable, unbiased reference that shows that the israelis evicted the palistinians.

John J,

Your ignorance is amazing. Did you just make that fact up? All citizens of israel can vote regardless of religion, that is why there are palistinians in the Knesset (thier congress). Are you trying to tell us that jews voted muslims into the knesset for the hell of it?

Irbid mix,

Why were they kicked out? people get kicked out of houses everyday for valid reasons.

2006-07-27 08:06:18 · update #2

and better yet, did they get kicked out by jews or were they told to leave by advancing arab armies and now say they were kicked out? Or did they flee out of fear of the war?

Answers999,

Thanks for proving my point. All those sources, the first one quoting the U.N., say that most of the palistinians fled because they were told to. One even sad that the arab countries told them to come to their nations until; palistine could be liberated.

So, where the proof that the israeli's evicted the palistinians?

OK thats enough. Will you believe CNN, Yahoo, AP, the UN and various Jewish publications that this happened? To say it didnt happen is like denying the holocaust happened in the face of irrefutable proof.

They moved because the UN split the land and designated land for both a Jewish and an Arab state. Unhappy with the boundaries for Israel in some areas where Jews were a 30-70 percent minority, some people rioted. They were met with overpowering force and their homes and land were redistributed to Jewish settlers. Now, if you notice there is some info in my links about Jewish refugees too, though there were not nearly as many. i'm not trying to be biased or racist. There are 2 sides to every story and this one is complex. However, it is an historical fact, many palestinians were forced to flee their homeland and because neighboring arab states like lebanon would not grant them or their children citizenship, they continue to be refugees today.

The palestines were not thrown away. Most of them simply fled after all arab nations started a war to prevent Israel to become independent in 1948. In every war there refugees, but only palestines chose to immortilize the problem of refugees in order to show the world their misery' instead of recovering themselfes like any rational people would do.
Except for biased propaganda in palestine's sites or in other deceiving sites you find any real evidence for the claim that Israel cleaned the land from arab palestines, simply because it's a lie.
Try however to read some history of Israel at Yahoo or wikipedia:

No, they weren't thrown out. A lot of them fled because the Palestinians persecuted the Jewish population before Israel was established, and they were afraid of payback once the Jews were in charge. And FYI, despite their spouting off about Arab solidarity, NONE of the Arab nations around Israel willingly accepted the Palestinian refugees inside their borders. They would have been better off staying where they were..

I don't know about thrown from their homes, but:

The land that is now Israel was once Palestine until it was taken after WW II

The only people with actual rights in Israel are Jews. Other nationalities / religions are not allowed to vote and are treated as second class citizens. - http://hrw.org/english/docs/2006/05/18/isrlpa13403.htm

Well, it is very true, my grandparents were kicked out of Java, as we used to call it Ya fa, in the year 1948, my mom was 8 and my dad was 18, they had two houses there, they left everything, took only some clothes, even their pictures were left behind, they have only a couple of pictures they collected from their cousins, my father can describe Ya fa , he can remember every street, he always told me about his childhood there, and if you want pictures, books or other stuff i will try to get them from my parent's house in Amman Jordan, there is a lot to say about Ya fa and their life there, and hundreds of other people who just left behind, when i went to visit Ya fa six years ago, the taxi driver told me that he can get me into my parents house just to look around, if we were lucky enough to find an Israel tenant in our house who would let us just look, but I was not able to call my father from there and ask him about the exact location of the house.and to tell you another thing, the Palestinians used to live side by side with Jews for years, even my father's cousin was in love and married a Jew, that was before 1948, till the land was given to Jews and Arabs were kicked out, all I'm telling you is a fact, and I'm willing to answer any question from you and try to collect proof.
After reading your second comment I would like to add that they were simply terrorised by Jewish organizations who planted bombs in every part of palestine, in official buildings in hotels like King David hotel and in all towns and villages, the organiazations were created by Jewish leaders spicificly to terrorise Palestinian Arabs everywhere. do you know the terror organization of IRGON zvai leamy
