Spots will NOT disappear overnight We'd all love to be able to make a spot magically disappear overnight – especially when we've got an important party or date coming up! Unfortunately skin doesn't work that way... We can do lots to help individual spots with treatment products... first of all avoid using products formulatted with mineral oil and animal products. These do not get absorbed by the skin and what it does is that it clogs your pores. In fact mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing you could do to your skins health #1 is the sun, it is like rubbing car oil on your skin and exposing yourself to the sun... here is where these spots appear.....Animal product come form rendering plants, these plants pick all dead animals from the road, meatmarkets etc and what they do is put them in a huge pot and squash everything inside and boil it the oil that comes to the top is what other companies use to formulate their "beauty" products ... gross i know.. eww lipstick and aghhh .. anyway, the important thing to do is read your ingredients and use the right ones regularly .... I use Arbonne's entire antiaging line which i love and I am only 33 years old, but i do not want those lines to get too deep ....these products are botanically based and formulatted with no animal products and wihout mineral oil. works wonderful for me and the best thing is that you could shop online at http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com ... receive it in your house and if ther is something you do not like about the products which is rarely to happen, you return the item and they give your money back .... you have nothing to loose only those hateful spots ;~)

I know exactly how you feel.
I recomment the shop LUSH. The assistants choose what they feel is best for your skin type and they give you a tester to use for 2 weeks. If that does not work you come back and they will give you another tester. All the products are natural substances and really work for different skin! However dont get upset if they dont work first time...i have tried EVERY single skin product in there and the last one left worked!

Good luck!

I used to have a load of spots but then started to use a seaweed cleansing facial from the body shop and within a week most spots had cleared up. In case facials don't work try these -

> Using acne tablets
> Seaweed facial or other facial remedies
> Using steam

But always remember never to pick spots or you'll have another problem on your hands! :-)

If you visit your GP, he can prescribe antibiotics for it, should clear it up fast. People don't tend to realize that spots are caused by infection underlying the skin. Also cutting out foods like cheese/ chocolate ( even though unproven to cause spots) may help.

One single thing you need for any skin problem – OCM

OCM is Oil Cleansing Method where you use oil to cleanse your face.

Most people start out with 50 % Extra Virgin Olive Oil [EVOO] and 50% Castor Oil [CO], the EVOO is moisturising and the CO is cleansing – if you have really oily skin you may want to start with a slightly different mix say 25:75 EVOO:CO because that means you are getting more of the cleansing oil.

Another VERY good oil to use is Jo-joba oil because it is very similar to the natural oils already on your face – I recommend you try the EVOO:CO mix and if you find your skin reacts well to that (or if it reacts badly – which I doubt it will) then switch over to 100% Jo-joba oil.

Basically what you do is whenever you need to clean your face you take the oil and put it onto your face, you then take a face cloth that has been in very hot water, wring it out and then put it on your face for a minute, and you then wipe off the oil. Basically the oil acts as a cleanser to take all the filth from your skin, and the hot face cloth helps open up your pores. You then use toner to help close up the pores again and remove any excess oil you may have missed and moisturiser – these are not necessary, but it is very good to use good natural toners and moisturisers no matter what you do with your face to wash it.

The reason this is especially good for oily or spotty skin is because for one it really cleanses out the pores unlike face washes that just remove the top layer of dirt, it is also oil – oil on your face, you're thinking that will make things worse right? Nope, it makes things better, one of the reasons your skin is oily is because your skin thinks it needs to be, when you use soap or washes you are stripping the natural oils from your face, oils your skin needs to stay healthy, so your skin produces extra oil to make up for what it is loosing, thus you get oily skin.

With OCM you have the benefit of something that gives you really nice moisturised healthy skin as well as deals with most skin problems, but it is also very cheap given as most oils can be bought just from your supermarket, it is natural so healthier for you, not tested on animals so it is ethical, but also it is totally customisable – so say if your skin starts to get dry you just change to a better oil or change the basic mix to include the more moisturising oil (EVOO), you can customise it daily, you can also add essential oils such as lavender or tea tree oil that can help deal with preventing spots and healing your skin.

Big explanation I know, but then most people think you are mad for cleaning your face with oil, particularly if they already have oily skin to begin with, plus I go on about it a lot because *I love it* and so do a LOT of other people I know who use it.
I used to have three major skin problems – 1. Flaky skin, 2. Oily skin, 3. Spots – The first day I started using OCM my skin stopped being flaky, a week later I noticed that even after a day of shopping when normally my skin would be dripping in oil my skin was not oily at all and as soft as a babies bottom, I now very rarely get spots and on the odd occasions when I do OCM heals them up very fast.

Maybe I have overwhelmed you, but here are two links about OCM:-

I had the same problem and I used 'Body shop tea tree facial scrub' and it really helped.
Then only day I saw that 'Super drug' had their own make of 'tea tree facial scrub' and I tried that. It was fantastic, it has cleared up my face completely.

Only thing is use a good moisturiser cause your face can get a bit dry.
Good luck LoL XxX
