Bellamy's a good player up front but he'll need 2 link well with Crouch 4 Liv. 2 score loads of goals.
Pennant isnt as good as Garcia, so 1 wonders why -Simao is/was a better option.
Frankly , they need a solid CDM.

I think Liverpool have made a couple of good signings however they will still only be in a battle with Spurs for 4th.

Bellamy looks to have been a great signing but how many games is he going to miss though suspension and what's the odds on him getting though the whole season without injury. On paper it looks like a good buy but we'll just wait and see.

Pennant is the only other 'big(ish)' name they have bought. Why did Liverpool buy him anyway. Didn't Gerrard play down the right last season. Also Luis Garcia could be put there and he is more than capable of filling in at right- mid. The last 'big' club Pennant was at was Arsenal and it didn't really work out. Pennant is another player who looks good on paper but he wont shine at Anfield.

Rafa hasn't got himself a strong holding player. He should have went in for Emerson when Juventus went down. Liverpool still need someone to replace Hamann and I think that with all the problems Aston Villa are having it would be a great oppertunity for them to sign Garath Barry, who was one of the better players in a poor team at Villa Park.

Liverpool's signings so far. Good; but not great.

In black and white if we had won chelski home and away in the league they would have been -6 points and we would have been +6 points making us champs.

As for some of these guys answering saying we've no chance i beg to differ. While a lot of the game is based on skill and your team playing as a team there is also an element of luck involved. With the new signings by Rafa and team spirit being high along with the support of the fans at every match i think we have just as much a chance as any at being champs.

The true balance of power is slowly returning and the title will be ours again.

We have faith and we BELIEVE.

Not sure about Pennant but as the statistics have shown, he was the person who had the most crosses last season. Bellamy is a great buy, the others look good too. Still need to buy another striker though, if they do, Chelsea should be looking over their shoulders

i think that with the missing ingredient recently added to the team craig bellamy, fabio aurelio and jermaine pennant we will really challenge chelsea and united this next season. i feel liverpool in a few years time liverpool will be champions again and rule the english league and will be the strongest team for a while yay liverpools turn to win. COME ON U LIVERPOOL!!!!!

how can you say we need a good CDM? we've got Gerrard who is one of the best midfielders in the world, Sissoko who is young and was outstanding last year and of course Xabi Alonso. I think the team is going to be closest to Chelsea this year. With Pennant Gerrard Alonso & Kewell in Midfield & crounch and bellamy up front and of course the most consistent defence and goalkeeper for the last two seasons. i trust rafa so the signings will prove how good they are this year. has rafa made a mistake yet? NO!

Benitez sign he team forward is no good , Cisse , Crouch , Folwer , Bellamy all cannot score up to 10 goal of the season . Better by Gerrard one seasons can score 23 goal top England Scorer . So Liverpool is can sign Owen is good , Owen at Liverpool is score above 20 goal of the one season and goal (pesen) is good at Real Madrid . Come back to Anfield Owen .

I'm a Blackburn fan and saw them playing last season against Man U, Bellamy was as good as any of the Man U stars. I think he's a great signing

The signings are good, but they need a Central Defender to assist Sami Hyppia! It's Liverpools defence more than their attack that needs to be looked at by Rafa. Rafa's a great gaffer, but a new Central Defender or two wouldn't go astray

I think Pennant and Bellamy will rise for the occasion, and show everyone what they are capable of, and if they show their potential, together with the other signings, I will see Liverpool crowned as the next English Champions
