We have three kids and we are being transferred to Sunrise. What are the best school districts in the area? My husband wants to live close to the beach but I am not sure that is realistic. We are hoping to get a 4 bed home for around $450,000. Any suggestions?

How is the school system in Sunrise? I, of course, would like to have my children in the best school system possible.

I would recomend you consider Aventura, in Dade County. It is an independent city about 10 minutes south, well planned and well funded, beautfiul and great schools. It has gottene expensive, you may want to look for homes on the edge of aventura, towards Hallandale. Have a look through Aventura, you may like it very much.

Sunrise is some 10 - 15 miles west of the beach. It's a young bedroom community. You should be able to find a 4 br for 450k in Sunrise without much trouble. You'd probably have to double that or more to get close to the water in tye Lauderdale area.

Consider Weston. It's only a few miles southwest of Sunrise and EVERY school in the city is rated A. You're about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes from the beach.
Your home cost is a bit low; we just purchased a 3 bedroom for 450k, but our Realtor has stated that the market has slowed significantly, and you may be able to do it for about 475 or so.

Moved from Sunrise, FL about 1 year ago. It was very nice! The beach isn't very far, shopping is very close, although traffic can be heavy at times. Homes near the beach are very pricey!
