Is it okay for women to ask a man to marry her? Why or Why Not?

wouldn't you rather he asked you. give him some hints..... talk about how happy some of your married friends are. and then when you do talk about it - just tell him you'd like to be married some day.
if you asked him - he might" throw it in your face ", that YOU were the one who wanted to be married, when you are married and arguing or unhappy
so .. i would just keep bringing the subject up till he finally gets the idea :-)

I don't see why not?? since men are so sacred to ask their women to say will you marry me and women most of time said no and break up something like that.
I think it cool woman ask man to marry... that is so cool why we have men do all the work? smiling. Really i think it cool and he will be so embarrass because of not asking her first hahah.

Which era are you living in. It is okay for a woman to ask a man to marry. Equality and so on and on and on.

Yep. If you're thinking of getting married, you should be able to communicate anything with your significant other, so this shouldn't be a big problem. If you think the man will enjoy doing it, then hint, then hint strongly, before you ask.

No. It is not ok. It may be an out moded idea but I think that the man should ask you to marry him. Now you can tlak about marriage and say that you would want to marry him but he should ask you.

It's absolutely okay! Neither my husband nor I asked; it was more of a mutual agreement. I think it'd be really sweet to have a girl ask a guy to marry her, esp. if she did the whole traditional down-on-one-knee thing. But that's just my opinion.

its not wrong.but i personally feel that men dont like to be rushed esp when it comes to marriage.if he is ready dont worry he will ask you to marry him.i have seen alot of cases where the man just walks out of the wedding(on the actual day)because they had been forced.i belive if something was ment for you it wiil be yours no matter how long it takes.
