The pet business is one of the fastest growing areas of commerce in the country and only will get larger as time goes on . People treat their pets like their children and if you offer great service and care to the owners animals the word of mouth will make you an instant success . If you clip nails , groom , bathe and take pets overnight you will really have a business . We have only 1 here where you can board them for like a week at a time and this lady is so busy you need to call like a month in advance for a reservation . Good luck and go for it .

I think it's a great idea. Could you please move to MS, I for one would use you every day. I have a baby basset hound named Harley and it just about kills me to leave him at home in his crate when I have to go to work. I think that all you would need to do is to find out how you would learn to groom the animals. Maybe as young as you are you might find a good veterinarian clinic that does grooming, etc. and go to work there for a year or two. Or go to work at a PetSmart store if there is one in the area. Practical experience is all I think you would need to open your business. Good luck.
