YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I TOO AM TRYING TO GET PREGNANT AND IT'S BEEN 7 MONTHS FOR ME TOO. WE HAD OUR SEMEN ANALYSIS AND ULTRASOUND 2 MONTHS AGO AND EVERYTHING SEEMS NORMAL. IT'S JUST NOT WORKING FOR US. THE STRANGE THING IS.I HAVE 4 BOYS ALREADY AND HE HAS 1 BOY NOT WITH EACH OTHER! IT'S JUST NOT WORKING FOR US.... I KNOW YOU WANT TO GET PREGNANT LIKE YESTERDAY......BUT STAY POSITIVE GET TESTED, AND LET HIM EASE OFF THE DRUGS. DO U REALLY WANT THIS IRRESPONSIBLE MAN TO BE THE FATHER OF YOUR CHILD ? THINK ABOUT IT THERE ALOT OF REALLY GOOD MEN OUT THERE THAT DOES NOT HAVE ALL THOSE OTHER ISSUES LIKE YOUR CURRENT MAN. ALSO, SOME WOMEN FEEL IT WHEN OVULATION IS OCCURING BE ALERT AND WHEN U FEEL THAT PAIN ON THE SIDE LIKE 14-16 DAYS AFTER YOUR LAST PERIOD IT'S THAT TIME TO HAVE SEX. IF U DON'T FEEL PAIN BUY AN OVULATION KIT ($20) AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. YOU NEED TO STAY IN BED UP TO AN 1/2 HOUR AFTER SEX AND START TAKING YOUR VITAMINS FROM NOW FOLIC ACID AND VIT B12. ALSO HE CAN START TAKING VITAMIN E AND ZINC THEY HELP MAKE SURE THE SPERM IS FORMED CORRECTLY AND SWIM FASTER. GOOD LUCK!

when you're pregnant, Urinary Tract Infections are quite common... and when they are mild, what you described are common complaints. Try increasing your water intake and reducing any other liquid you may be drinking. If you develop a fever or the pain persists for more than a couple days after increasing your water... then go to or call your OBGYN. He/She may have to prescribe some antibiotics. Or it may be something else entirely. I am not a doctor - this is just my best guess. I have the same pain during relations because of UTI though.

Maybe you should try getting pregnant with someone else. He seems polluted with the drugs and alcohol. I don't think you want a child with defects. I would take this is a sign of why you aren't getting pregnant.

We are trying to conceive a child, and my doctor says that it takes an average of a year for couples to start a family. Try having sex every other day (not every day) it is better for all those little spermies so they can build up. I'm not sure, but I know some drugs can kill mens sperm count, so it might not be a bad idea for him to go to the doctors and have them do a sperm count.

There seems to be more issues here that need to be addressed other than CHILDREN! THings are not going to get anybetter if he still uses drugs. Now, if that's all in the past he may want to go see a doctor. If he has been off for at least a year it may have given his body time to get back to normal. Although drugs do un-fixable damage to your body sometimes! Think about that before you have children, please.

I feel bad for your children if you have any. It is not right to raise children in a home filled up with drugs. There is a reason that you can't get pregnant and its because of drugs. Why do you think that they are illegal?

Marijuana causes a significantly decreased sperm count, which could be causing you not to get pregnant. It also can affect the sperm in a way that you might want to get some form of pregnancy counseling before you go ahead with this.

Go online and type ovulation calculator maybe you are just doing it at the wrong time - the time when you are not ovulating.. so try that and answer the questions and they will be able to tell you when is the best week when you are most likely to get pregnant.. good luck..

Maybe he should quit smoking while you are trying to conceive. In some cases it can cause him to be infertile. If you go to the doctor the first thing they will do is test his sperm count and then if it's okay, it could be you. It doesn't cost near as much to get his sperm tested than it does to get you tested. Keep trying and good luck!
