Why do "fat" sizes go from 16 to 1X? Is that to make us all feel better?

Why do we have 1X, 2X, 3X?

because the X sizes are like S- M- L- XL They are meant to fit 2 or 3 sizes, which is really rude and unfair to overweight women. And if you are in the states, your sizes have been changed, In Canada and England, I'm a 16 -18, but in the states, I'm a 12-14. and a 0 in the States is a 4 in Canada.So, you really are fatter than you think.

I thought 1X mean XL
and 2X means XXL
and 3X means XXXL
