If the restaurant permits it, ok. Some people don't like dogs or are afraid of them, and they should be able to eat without a dof near them.

Most restaurants around here have no problem with dogs as long as they are outside. It's the same in & around many big cities. Personally, I think well behaved dogs should be allowed anywhere. They are cleaner and better behaved than most children. It's not like they'd go in the kitchen, but sitting under the table or next to the owner - as long as the owner is ok with it, I don't see a problem. It's certainly less problematic than smoking, yet many states allow that. . .

I love dogs and I owe one. But there's a place for everything and when you're dining you don't want to see dogs running around or begging for food. I don't even like my own dog around when I'm eating so that's a good reason for restaurants to keep the policy: no gods allowed.

Sure! It happens in my neighbourhood all the time. They usually get a seat next to the railing for the patio so their dog can be tied to that and not be under foot. Lots of restaurants here even have doggie dishes so the dogs can have water.

In germany, dogs were allowed at the outside parts of resturants! So i don't see why not, as long as the dog is not begging everyone for food!

At home, anything goes. At a restaurant, you have to ask. If you have a well-behaved dog and it is an outside cafe, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to.

Dogs like children should be allowed everywhere as long as they are well behaved.
Both should not be bothering other people in public.
