What kind of images comes to your mind when your heard about Brazil?

I lived in some of the poorer areas of central Brazil for a few years. When I think of Brazilians, I think of loving, generous, happy people, who live simply for the joy of living. They have more than their share of hardships, but they are always eager to make new friends and quick to offer help.

We know very little of Brazil as there is so much news on the Middle East, yet we seldom hear from South America. But if we want to search out for ourselves, we can get a good picture of extreme wealth and extreme poverty, fun loving people, seemingly a wild place where anything goes and religion does not play a big part in people's lives, too much police corruption. Overall, we in Canada and the US hardly ever hear anything from Brazil in our daily papers or the TV news, so I guess there is not so much trouble there also....Like Canada, nobody knows us either! I certainly have this idea Brazilian women are some of the hottest babes on the planet! Please send them north....Seriously, we have to ask why the news organisations do not cover more news from other places and have predominately focused on the Middle East.

When I think Brazil - I think lots of naked women on the beach....and that brings to mind a Brazilian bikini waxing - ouch!

A mix of the Amazon, Rio, and soccer (football if you prefer).
There is also the fact that they are almost completely using ethanol made from sugar. And that, at least recently, I don't know about currently, their president was a strong supporter of Creative Commons and open source.

All sorts of images come to mind......beautiful exotic, people......beautiful beaches...........beautiful landscape.........lovely accents.......on the flip side......over population........high crime........corrupt government......
i would love to go there one day.......
