On a tennis court, with a tennis racket, and a tennis ball, and it works best when there is someone on the other side of the net to hit the ball back, however, you could always go somewhere where they have those big cement walls and play by yourself.

You might want lessons if you want to be good.

Each GAME had the score of:
15
30
40
(in the event of 40-40 -tie, it is called duce) you HAVE to win by 2 points to win the duce
Game...set...match

Each SET had 6 games
YOu play 2 sets

Every odd number of games you switch sides (to make it fair, one side might have sun, wind, etc.)
A PRO set has 8 games and you only play it once.

One person serves for one whole game. The person has to switch sides between each serve: between the duce (right side) and the add (left side)

If you serve the ball into the net and it goes over and into the box, you get 2 more serves, if you serve, hits the net, goes over BUT doesn't go into the box you only get 1 more serve.

So after the serve, you just play the point.
Remember: only 1 bounce
the body or the racket should ever hit the net, if it does-you lose that point.
If you weren't sure if it was in or out-you are suppose to give the point to the other person
A ball on the line is in.

Well get a racket, stand on a tennis court, get a tennis ball, try hit the ball with the raket head and watch it hopefully fly over the net which is in the middle of the court.

Get a racket and some balls and a instructor. Get a book and read the rules so you wont be a pain out there. Get a good pair of shoes and read everything you can. Don't forget an outfit with pockets so you can hold more than one ball. Pratice picking up the ball without bending over so you look like you can play.

its harder than it looks
the main problem i had for a while is when youre returning a serve don't have the racket angled upwards too much or you'll knock the ball up more and therefore less accurate and easier to return. and on serving remember to hit it towards the top of the racket so that you get more spin :)
and bring alot of water cause when its hot it drains your energy REALLy fast when you play tennis. yeah just do taht and youre set

I assume you know the basic material, raquet for instance. But, you should also put bandages on your raquet grip. The reason for that is because raquet grips are made of rubber. Nice and grippy, yes. But when you don't hit the ball in the middle of the net, the raquet sort of slightly spins andwhen that happens, well, you get blisters. Imagine if you played all day. But don't go crazy with bandages. I'm not really telling you to take of the grip and replace it with bandages. You need to keep the grip on so that it absorbs the shock. Hope this info helps.
