Back in the day, I liked Rod Carew and Pete Rose.
Carew because he was so smooth and just knew how to play the pitch wherever it was the thrown and hit the ball to all parts of the field.
I liked "Charley Hustle" because he was just balls out no matter what he was doing on the field.
Today, my favorite player is Vladimir Guerrero. He can knock the ball out of the park if the ball is thrown at his shoelaces or over his head. I'm willing to bet that one of these days he's going to swing at and hit a pitch while he's being intentionally walked. Everytime he comes to the plate, he's a threat to do damage. Not only that but he has a freakin' bazooka for an arm. He is always at the top or near the top in outfield assists.
