YOU don't. Your bank does. And they have a lot more resources than you have available. What you CAN do is give the bank as much information as you can, such as who had access to your account, what purchases did you make, where and when. Did you loan your card to sombody. Did you leave your wallet or your purse where somonone might have had access to the card? Do you keep careful track of your charge slips.
Even with this info, the bank may never figure out who made the fraudulent charge. If they do not, it will be well worth the effort to close the account and open a new one with a new account number. Do this very soon.

This just happened to me, contact your bank asap. They should be able to track the charge and let you know what your options are. It may be a wise idea to cancel the card and get a new one.

You don't need to track it down the credit card company does. However you need to report it quickly. Then you contest the charge with them.

contact the bank that issued the card...they will do an investigation...its hard to track people down though.
