No, not unless you have a ring and a date. A dad has children with the same last name as himself, a sperm donor does not. If he ends up leaving, would you want to deal with all of the hassles that go with having different last names than your kid?

you could merely use your boyfriends call on the start certificate if he attends the registar workplace with you to sign up the start - or you've gotten to apply your surname as you aren't any further married. the toddler would accept your surname when you're in well-being center, as it really is the requirement with suggestions from regulation, for couples that are un-married even if or not they're residing mutually. in case you chosen to get married after the toddler hs been born and has your boyfriends call, you'd be ased to re-sign up the children start and could be issued a clean certificate with you on it with your married surname - this isn't a call for from regulation even if that is recommended with suggestions from the sign up of births - wish this helps

This is a true question that only you should answer. Some people that have kids not being married do not give the child the fathers last name and some people do. This is a big choice I had to make the same one with my oldest son. I guess it all depends the person.

No, you don't know if you guys are going to be together forever. Let your daughter keep her surname so as not to create any confusion later in life.

You can, the choice is yours. If you decide to give your daughter your last name that's not a problem either. When or if you and your boyfriend get married it's a simple procedure to have her last name change to his then.

That is something you two need to discuss together. If you are not living together it would be easier to have the same last name while your child is in school.
