I was indused with all my others and never had to be a a certain point with them i guess thats the difference between doc here and in missouri. what can i do????? i am so ready for her to be here and my doc says based on first ultra sound baby is only as of 25th 37weeks. but based on last period it would be 40 weeks and 1 day. so i have like a 3 week span to play with i may be over due right now i go back to doc the 1st of aug. i would really like to be 2 or 3 cm. help please

Take it easy and take dr's advice. You have to trust he knows best. You wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize your kids health.

The baby will stay put until her time is ready. Please don't do anything that could harm you or her. Walking is always good to help bring on labor and it won't hurt. My 2nd prg I thought I was preg in Dec and found out for sure on Feb1. I thought he would be born in the end of Aug or 1st of sept. He didn't come until the end of Oct!! A healthy 8 1/2 lbs. I was induced because I saw how big he was in the xray and got scared. I had had a very big baby 1st time and torn sooo bad and troubles for years so I was scared of this one getting too large.I didn't have any trouble and had an easy time with this one.My little girl came later with another crazy story!Anyway it is hard to tell nowadays just like it always has been, all the technology can be wrong so just wait until your dr feels it is safe for her or until God says she is ready!

well you just have to wait, and as a mother of four myself I know that is a very hard thing to do. I will pray for you to be more comfortable. That is about all anyone can do for you. I bet you are excited to be having a little girl. I had two girls, singletons then two boys-twins!!! Talk about uncomfortable. I always lost the mucus plug early, and I also had very bad braxton hicks for about 1-2 weeks before I gave birth each time except with my twins who came 5 weeks early, ya just never know how each pregnancy will differ, but they all do. I will pray for a healthy delivery and baby! Love making will help dilate your cervix, orgasm will too!! Enjoy!

you can go to a health food store and get pregnancy tea which has raspberry leaf in it. raspberry leaf is supposed to ripen the cervix or you can buy fresh blue or black cohosh (sp?) which is an indian herb. you can make a tea out of it by boiling it in some water. it tastes like dirt though. i tried this plus i had sex at about 39 weeks it was a little uncomfortable and embarrassing because i was so big, but i was so ready to see my little girl i made hubby do it. semen is supposed to also ripen the cervix. good luck, and then again you can just wait until she's ready to come!

Please take your time and enjoy this moment. I know you're pregnant and with this heat, I KNOW you're miserable. She will get here when she is good and ready. Only God knows when that will be. Thankfully you have your older kids to help. I have three girls and the oldest was 8 when the youngest was born. The middle child helped too and she was 7 at the time. Be very patient. I'm sure she'll be beautiful.

I tried everything to make my cervix thin out and dilate and nothing worked. I tried evening prim rose oil, castor oil, hard sex, walking, everything that you read about on the Internet. The baby will come when it is ready.

i dont know about this kind of stuff but what i would do is get the advice of another doctor and see what he/she has to say. Doctors aren't always right and most of the time you gotta go with your feeling so get 2nd 3rd opinions just to make sure what the 1st doctor is saying is right.................

I have learned that there is nothing you can do to speed up labor - babies come when they are good and ready, and you can't make them come before that (aside from like a C-section).
