I can browse the net on my cellphone. Some models have full QWERTY keyboards built in (mine doesn't.)
The library has computers you can use, but don't have to buy.
A computer JUST for net-surfing doesn't have to be very powerful. You can probably find a decent used one for under $200.

Buy a cell phone...but not really...because the only problem there is that you can only brose so many websites. A computer and a cell phone are costing just about as much these days....so good luck.

I am aware that there are Set-Top boxes available in the market that you can sue together with your TV and get online. They have not been a sell-out success though!

yes in latest telivisions you have a option to use internet. and tv is connected to the broadband cable.

just go to an internet cafe......... and you dont have to bring your own modem or keyboard.

You can also purchase separate WebTV. There are a few companies that sell this... try msntv.com for one of them.
