I9 think the method is wonderful but I live in Brazil and there arent any Montessori schools near my town, so I would like the opinion of a parent that has or had his/her kid in a Montessori school.
I teach young kids and really want to introduce this method into my classes.

i worked in a Montessori school for 3 years while getting my degree in education. I feel like the methods work as long as you stick with them. The children love the hands on learning associated with Montessori lessons, and have a sense of accomplishment in being able to do things for themselves and become more independent. Unfortunately,, a real Montessori classroom requires a lot of time, energy, and money to get set up!

It is a great method. I know you wanted an adult's opinion so I am sorry to be young. I went to a Montessori school for 8 years and it has helped me excel in everything!

Montessori method is virtually accepted all over...and surely it is time tested....no wonder that every teacher wish to adopt this very method in his or her line of teaching.....I had my kid sister enrolled in Montessory school and she excelled in every field of studies over there.

i purchased books to educate my daughter (even as she replaced right into somewhat one) making use of Montessori school room options, and from the activities contained in the e book, i will't see how they does no longer adapt to all cultures. Its pretty about coaching concepts - math, paintings, clinical, reading, geography, commentary skills, recuperating guide dexterity - and those are issues which aren't to any extent further truly cultural - except you're going to educate toddlers from a subculture it is against between the concepts Montessori teaches to toddlers. in my opinion i have got here across a number of the activites went o.k. on my daughter, like the alphabet popularity, the counting, the guide dexterity activities, inventive activities. another activities besides the undeniable fact that did not pastime her plenty, yet Montessori's philosophy is truly to allow toddlers to freely opt for although activities pastime them and for educators to "pass with the move" and under no circumstances implement any activities onto a toddler in the experience that they do no longer look in contact, so I wasn't less than pressure out about her rejection of particular activities. there replaced into under no circumstances any factor out of non secular coaching contained in the books I easily have, or about coaching social behaviour - in the route of the fourth twelve months of age, the e book does recommend academic video games which the youngster can play with yet another toddler of a similar age, yet all in all, the concepts being taught are of an attractive generic nature and that i won't be able to see how human beings from diverse cultures will be indignant by, or locate puzzling to stick with.

The method, like any other method, is wonderful IF it is in keeping with the learning styles of your students.
