No you do not need your GCE results . You get the job application form from customer services desk. They will contact you if they want to see you. Y ou have an interview and if that is all right they will start your employment with an induction session (You learn about the store, the company, and what is expected of you etc.) The only time when school exams become an issue is if the company thinks your school work will suffer because you want to work long hours with them. If you have left thats usually ok. Good luck

You must have sat your GCSE's before you apply for a job at Tesco. If you are 16 and have not done your GCSE's then im afraid you have to wait.
Whoever said you dont need anything to work at Tesco just a pair of hands....i found that very rude and degrading, just because you work at Tesco does not mean you are stupid and have no qualifications. You can start and Tesco and join there management programme and become a Store Manager, which earns a lot of money. I am a Supervisor at Tesco and im so angry at all you very mean people putting my job down. You have to work hard to be a manager at Tesco and not everyone gets selected, they have to think you have potential. Tesco offers so much.....staff discount, special staff offers, flexi hours, good pension, share offers......etc. Tesco can offer you a career that yu can be proud of. So to all you people that have put Tesco down, get off your high horses and take the broom out of your backsides.

In the Philippines you have to have a 4 year degree to work at Jolly Bee!
You may need the GCSE results to prove you are who you say you are and check your age. I cannot imagine Tesco requiring the results for any other reasons.
They probably have a problem with illegal immigrants and want to avoid fines.

If your 16. High or low grades will not matter to these type of companies, they are likely to take you on because of your young age. The reason because a 16 year old is the lowest minimum wage and they will use you for this, to save the company money rather than taking a 24 year old and paying an extra 10p-20p per hour. Sounds harsh but its true, this is why school leavers are likely to get a job more than someone much older and maturer, they want the company to save money.

No, but i recommend you aim higher and at least get your A-Levels- unless you're thinking of a part time job, in which case it would be a very good experience for you

No. that job doesn’t require any qualifications. which means people wont respect you. don’t go there honey it doesn’t pay in the long run, they just use you. they only require that you are over 16 and have a national insurance number.
if you really must get a job try Waitrose, Whsmith or waitress work.

Not too sure about that darling, but it would help if you could spell "receive" - its a dead give - away to a potential employer!
