it doesnt bother me one bit. Profit is a relationship to sales, and Exxon is a mind-bogglingly large company. Do you know that since March 2006, Exxon has produced over 60 billion gallons of fuel? Do the math, that adds up to 16 cents per gallon. Now compare that to the 50-60 cents a gallon you pay your state local and federal goverments for gas. Now who is raping you?

The driver of the extraordinary windfall was that they were carrying inventory of crude at ~$28 a barrel when the price went to ~$70 a barrel. It's a one-time windfall. Now they will have to rebuild their inventory and are facing significant supply risks in doing so due to challenges in the Mideast, that get worse everyday.

Their a buisness and the only way they can rip us off is if we buy their product and let them. the one thing i am pissed about is paying two dollars for a bottle of water...now that is something we should be complaining about!
