Ive been seeing my colleague using a PDA phone which looked cool on him. Is PDA or PDA really that useful and what we need it for our business? what would u recommend or advise for PDA?
GQ says a book of organizer and a pen sometimes work better than the electronic gadget... should i own a PDA or PDA phone too?

I love my palm pilot pda, and will not give it up! It's my brain. I can keep track of everything with this little device, and know that little things will not slip my mind. I've not missed giving birthday wishes in 4 years. Everyone just thinks I have the most amazing memory and that I'm super organized. It's my "brain" that keeps me that way.

At my job, I had to coordinate my activities between 17 schools. It was so easy to schedule since I could take my palm with me and make changes as necessary.

I have my checkbook register on it, my date book, my address file, my shopping lists, books to read, and games to play.

Here are a few of the programs that I use on a frequent basis:
DateBook
AvantGo (downloads news over the net)
HandyShopper
TimeSheet
PDA Money
Bejeweled
Yahtzee
Sodoku

There are several sites where you can download free software to use on a pda. One of those is http://www.freewarepalm.com, but there are others for different brands of pdas.

I've been contemplating this same question.

In my previous job my paper calendar worked fine. My calendar was my own and wasn't all that busy in terms of meetings and appointments.

A year ago I accepted a new position in which I have a calendar that changes frequently. In addition, I have to coordinate my calendar with everyone else in the office.

I am now considering getting a PDA so I can download my calendar from my PC and have access to it when I am away from my desk, such as when I am in a meeting. I am finding it impossible to keep my paper calendar updated with all of the relevant information that I need.

In my previous job - the expense wasn't warrented because I had no real need for it. In my current job I believe an electronic PDA will be of tremendous assistance. I am currently trying to research which one I should purchase.

The answer is probably very individual and is determined by your current circumstances.
