My menstral cycle fluctuates from every 30 days to every 28 to every 26, and still changes. When should I look out for ovulation?

use opk's(ovulation kits) around days 14-18 doing your cycles, if you check your cervix and cervical mucus around that time you will also be able to tell, right before ovulation your mucus is watery and creamy that's letting you know your going to ovulate in 12-24hrs, then your mucus will be eggwhite and that's letting you know your ovulating, after ovulation mucus is creamy again, but it's best to use both, but if you have pcos then opk's will give false positives, but the only way you would know that, is if your dr. told you, it's a lot of women who have it and they don't know it! so i would say use opk's and check your mucus each month that should tell you something, i have pcos and i didn't ovulate each month so i take clomid and i take my temperature, use opk's and check my mucus, so i hope this helps good luck!

Read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It goes over charting and recognizing your fertililty signs (basal body temperature, cervical mucous and cervical position.) Loads of good info.

The post-ovulatory phase of your cycle should remain pretty constant regardless of the length of your cycle. If you're charting, you'll probably notice that your cycle fluctuates because sometimes you ovulate later than in other cycles. But if you know what to look for, the length of each cycle won't matter.

The best thing for you to do since it seems that you have irregular cycles is to get an Ovulation test. It will tell you exactly when you are ovulating. Here is a website of a couple of places where you can get very efficient and economical OPK's. www.fertilefocus.com and www.early-pregnancy-tests.com

Your first sign that ovulation is close is the appearance of clear, slippery cervical mucus. That is present just before ovulation and is (time-wise) your best shot at conceiving.

It's usually 12-14 days after your period ends.
