cause when i try to type in a room this message appears that says that this service aint free no more and ask my credits card number...but many ppl i know they telling me that MSN messenger is 4 free!!
is it or no?

MSN Messenger is free, make sure you download it right from MSN or another trusted website.
MSN now charges for their chatrooms that is probably where it says you have to pay now. Even MSN Groups no longer has chatrooms if you want to use chatrooms on MSN you have to pay. Yahoo chat is still free but full of bots advertising.

MSN Messenger? It always was, and always will be free, but now you have to download Windows Live Messenger (aka MSN Messenger 8.0), if your older version doesn't work properly.

Yes, messenger is free....chat rooms are not! I just signed up the other day, then quickly realized, that there was no point!
