A little of both. My competitive side drives me to succeed, while instilling the fear of failure in me at the same time.

well we are driven by both i mean there is will to suceed but also there is the fear of failure

some people are extraordinary i.e their will is so strong that any other thing cannot drive them

both people do suceed some by will and for some the fear of failure is so strong that either they suceed or they commit suicide by going in depression

Both - in that we are driven by the wanting of admiration of others. See heirarchy of needs. Failure can mean degradation in our select group, success can mean admiration, fear of failure and will to succeed can also be reworked as fear of success, and will to fail.

The glass half full ?? success

glass half empty ?? fear of failure

No, most are driven by a need for "things" and the desire to be better than "others." This unfortunately leads to little happiness.

both, maybe the fear is a driving force to suceed. I don't think you can have one without the other.
